Red Squirrels at Rest

This original painting is in acrylic on a flat canvas panel. The size is 457mm x 356mm (18" x 14"), and it is unframed.

This is one of my Christmas card design ideas for the Mouth and Foot Painting Artists, I still hope that one day it might get used! It was originally painted in the early 2000s, based on a photograph that was taken in a wildlife park in Scotland while we were on holiday. The holly leaves and berries were added , and the background darkened to give these rare and protected red squirrels all of the focus in the painting.
