Out For A Day's Sailing

A painting in acrylic on canvas panel, this is a sailing boat coming out of Bembridge Harbour at the eastern point of the Isle of Wight, which is off the coast of the centre of the southern UK. I painted it in 2005 after a family holiday there, we have very much enjoyed visiting over the years as some of my wife's family are Island born and bred. Sailing is extremely popular on the Island, and the Cowes Regatta every August is world renowned.

It is painted on a canvas panel, sized 40cm x 33cm (15 3/4" x 13") with Daler Rowney System 3 acrylic paint, and is not framed.
