Our Christmas Friend

Painted in 2006, this robin was a regular visitor to our garden and enjoyed posing for his portrait! My wife took quite a collection of photos of him as he showed off for the camera, but this was my favourite of the set. He was sitting on a very snow covered bird bath in the sunshine, and definitely showing off his best side! I decided to make the background quite indistinct so as not to draw the eye away from the robin.
