Holly's First Snowman

A painting dating from 1999, the first of my snowman series. I'm often experimenting with card designs using the same main subject but changing the background, or entire environment in some cases. Our eldest helped to build it in our garden when she was two years old, and this snowman continued to feature in paintings for some time, as you may see on this website! It's set in quite a neutral space as I just wanted to focus on him, the decorations and the gifts.

It is painted on a 14" x 10" (356mm x 254") canvas panel, and is unframed.
